In accordance with the requirements of Law no. 677/2001 for the protection of individuals regarding the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, amended and supplemented concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, NAMEBOX S.R.L. is obliged to manage safely and only for specified purposes the personal data you provide about yourself.

This agreement on the “Terms and Conditions of Use of the Web Hosting Service” establishes the conditions under which any person can visit or access the website www.namebox.ro or can use in any way the hosting service or domain registration, and is the value of an agreement concluded between NAMEBOX S.R.L. (hereinafter referred to as “provider”), in its capacity as owner and administrator of the site and provider of the service, and any person who visits or accesses the site or who wishes to use in any way or actually uses the services (hereinafter referred to as “user or customer”).

The purpose of data collection is: providing services according to the current offer, as well as registering web domains on behalf of clients and according to orders. Any person has the right to object, free of charge and without any justification, to the processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes.

According to Law no. 677/2001, you benefit from the right of access, intervention on the data, the right not to be subject to an individual decision, and the right to address the justice. Also, you have the right to oppose the processing of personal data concerning you and to request the deletion of the data. To exercise these rights, you can address with a written request, dated and signed at [email protected]. Also, you are recognized the right to address justice. According to Romanian legislation, minors cannot conclude commercial contracts, and neither their personal data is processed without the consent of the parents.

Non-acceptance of this agreement or any provision thereof entails the obligation of the respective person to cease immediately accessing the site or using the service in any way, and the continued access or visit of the site, opening an account at namebox.ro or using the service in any way constitutes a full acceptance of the agreement and any provision thereof, including any subsequent changes that may be made without restrictions by the provider, without requiring any other formality.

Content Policy

It is prohibited to publish on our servers content or referrals (links) to such content that: (I) violates or prejudices in any way the intellectual property rights of others or other rights; (II) contain obscene or pornographic content or of a violent nature; (III) contain defamatory or libelous content; (IV) contain racially or discriminatory content; (V) contain viruses, Trojan horses, or similar; (VI) contain pirated software or address those who pirate software or practice any similar activities.

We do not allow hosting of forums or gaming sites (gaming communities), scripts for mining virtual currencies and using our servers exclusively as storage or broadcasting support (e.g., sites with online movies, download mp3, download pictures, online radios, etc.). Hosting accounts that violate the content policy are suspended without prior notification and the refund policy does not apply.

Hosting Account Security – it is the client’s responsibility to keep their platform, plugins, or scripts updated and to eliminate any file carrying malware code. NAMEBOX S.R.L. is not liable in any way in case of a malware code infection at the hosting account level, our company’s liability being strictly limited to the operating system/server level. Also, we are not responsible for cleaning infected files and neither for periodic updates of the scripts and platforms in the client’s hosting account.

Hosting accounts infected with malware or Phishing scripts are restricted by IP until the situation is remedied. If the client does not take all necessary measures to clean the hosting account within a maximum of 48 hours, we are forced to suspend/restrict the account until the problem is remedied without prior notice.

Prohibited Scripts

Scripts for proxy, anonymizer, IRC Scripts, top site scripts, online game scripts like Counter Strike, Minecraft, CS:GO (excluding flash games), Mail bomber, mass mail, or any unsecured email sending script, Torrent tracker, Chat rooms that excessively consume resources and WAP chats, PhpShell, and similar scripts for executing commands.

Any attempt to harm the servers or clients is strictly prohibited. Any activity that affects the proper functioning of the shared hosting server (examples include, but are not limited to: CPU load over normal limits, mass mailing, very frequent and/or long-duration SQL queries) will be considered abuse and will be regarded as an attempt to prejudice other colocated clients.

The maximum accepted consumption for sites is 5% CPU, 5% MEM, and 1.5% MYSQL, and processes can consume a maximum of 10% CPU, higher consumptions may be considered server abuses.


Sending unsolicited commercial messages (SPAM) to promote any site using our servers or through third-party servers to promote any site hosted by us will result in the suspension or cancellation of the client’s hosting account, without refund. Email lists can be operated under the condition that individuals sign up to receive messages and all messages include the procedure for opting out of the list.

Each hosting account is limited so as not to allow sending more than 200 emails in a 60-minute interval. This restriction is necessary to protect the quality of the hosting service. Mass email sending leads to excessive consumption of a server’s resources, negatively impacting the quality and services received by clients. The first violation of this policy results in the immediate suspension of the hosting account without refund.

Resource Usage

All accounts are monitored to track server resource consumption. If an account uses an excessively large amount of server resources, we will contact the respective client to discuss the matter.

If an account uses an excessively large amount of resources (memory, processor), the account may be suspended or the script disabled without prior notice, in order to maintain proper functioning of the server, within 24 hours of sending consumption notifications.

Customers may request an upgrade of their package or a temporary increase in allocated resources. It is the client’s responsibility to contact us in time to request an increase in resources to avoid account suspension.

UNMETERED TRAFFIC – For packages with unmetered traffic, bandwidth will be limited upon exceeding 1,000 GB.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for updating their contact information in the billing control panel when necessary. We cannot be held responsible for any communication issues that directly result from the client’s failure to update necessary information. Clients are responsible for maintaining the security of usernames, passwords, and other sensitive information.

Limited Liability

We cannot be held responsible for damages caused by temporary unavailability of our servers, regardless of the reason. This provision includes damages resulting from data loss or corruption. The client agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, including but not limited to, damages caused to third parties, as a consequence of using services that cause damage to our client. The user acknowledges and agrees that in any situations where the user requests damages of any kind from the provider, the total amount of damages claimed by the user for any reason and that could be paid by the provider shall not exceed under any circumstances the total amount of fees (taxes) paid by the user to the provider.

Uptime Guarantee

Our company’s web hosting services guarantee an average uptime of 99.9%. In case of a lower uptime than guaranteed, the Provider agrees, upon the Beneficiary’s request, to credit their account proportionally from the monthly subscription value, as follows: 10% for uptime between 99.9% and 99%, 25% for uptime between 99% and 98%, 50% for uptime between 98% and 95%, 75% for uptime between 95% and 90%, and 100% for uptime under 90%.

Exceptions include:

Force majeure situations beyond our control such as: wars, natural disasters, unavailability/interruption of communications, fire, viruses, hackers, malfunction of software provided by another source (free scripts, e-commerce software, or online payment processor), DDOS attacks, earthquakes, embargoes, legal authority actions. Announced maintenance works or in critical situations, server upgrades.


All shared web hosting packages benefit from two backup solutions, with storage in two locations. We use the Synconix solution, which performs periodic backups (once every 24/48 hours) on an external storage in the GTS Cluj-Napoca data center, and the JetBackup solution, which performs periodic backups (once every 24/48 hours) on colocated storage in data centers in Germany and Poland.

It is important to mention that while we do our best to ensure the integrity of the backups, we cannot offer any guarantee in this regard. Therefore, we recommend our clients to perform periodic backups and download them from the server to an external and secure environment. Data on our backup servers is stored in rotation for 7-10 days.

Backup solutions can be used for free directly from cPanel by all our clients, with complete tutorials available at the links https://bit.ly/3Tb3XAw and https://bit.ly/3WGQP9i. If you are unable to perform a restore, you can request help through a support ticket between 09:00 – 22:00.

VPS and DEDICATED servers can benefit from the Synconix backup solution for a monthly fee of 10 Euro + VAT (up to 100GB). To benefit from an additional backup solution, the client is obliged to contact the NAMEBOX team to activate the additional backup service. This backup solution and others can be ordered together with the server.

ALL NAMEBOX CLIENTS AGREE TO PERIODICALLY SAVE ON AN EXTERNAL STORAGE MEDIUM A FULL BACKUP ARCHIVE. The archive can be generated with just two clicks from cPanel -> Backup according to the instructions at the link https://bit.ly/3FVpRol.

The Provider is not responsible in any way for the loss of information hosted on servers due to user actions, hacking attacks, or errors in applications not associated with the service. For example, the control panel is not associated with the service and is not provided by the provider, being developed and offered by cPanel.net.

If payment is delayed for more than 30 days and the account is deleted from the server, the client may request the restoration of the site from an older backup. If this is possible, the operation will be charged at a sum of 50 euros + VAT, only if the site recovery is successfully completed.

Cron Jobs

We do not allow the execution of scripts via crons set at intervals of less than 10 minutes.

CGI Scripts

CGI scripts can be used by our clients as part of the services offered, but any CGI script specifically designed to negatively affect server performance or network integrity can be stopped without notice.

Installation of Additional Services

If the script you want to use requires the activation of other software programs on the server, namebox.ro is not obliged to install those programs, except in cases where it considers that their activation will not negatively affect the stability or security of the server. Any request for an account upgrade (space/traffic/other package) must be made by email or support ticket at least 24 hours before the change. We assume no responsibility if an account upgrade is not performed and the site’s traffic or space runs out.

Notifications and Announcements

NAMEBOX S.R.L. reserves the right to send notifications regarding the services offered and offers as well as announcements from third parties when they can be useful to users.

Payment and Billing Terms

The client agrees to pay in advance for our services for the period they are provided. Clients must pay the invoice amount in advance at the beginning of each payment period, within 10 working days from the issuance of the proforma invoice.

Clients who wish to close a purchased web hosting service must send a notification to [email protected] to close the account. Exceptions are made for dedicated server and VPS server holders, who must send a closure request 30 days before the due date. If the closure request is sent in a shorter time frame (less than 30 days), the client is contractually obliged to pay for the services for the next month.

Prices displayed in Euro are calculated in RON at the BNR exchange rate on the date of issuance of the proforma invoice, according to legislation all invoices and payments are processed in RON.


Promotions active on our site apply only to new orders placed during the promotion period. The same services ordered previously are not part of current promotions.

Domain Registration Rules

Domains with the .ro extension are registered for a maximum period of 10 years, with an annual price of 9.99 Euro + VAT. The beneficiary understands that NAMEBOX only provides the intermediary service for domain name reservation and accepts the terms and conditions imposed by ROTLD. The beneficiary understands that accepting these terms represents a contract between them and ROTLD, with the Provider being a third party to this contract.

All .RO domain registrations are subject to the registration rules established by ROTLD and can be read on the Registration Rules and Registration Contract page made available to you by ROTLD.

Domains registered for the so-called “lifetime” period will pay an annual maintenance fee on the expiration date (for domains older than 5 years) starting from 01.03.2018.

All annual .ro domains registered through the NAMEBOX website can be transferred to the client’s data starting from 01.03.2018 if the current transfer fee of 15 Euro + VAT is paid. A domain can only be transferred during its active period and cannot be transferred if it has expired.

Once a domain expires and is made available, it is the right of any legal or natural person to purchase that domain.

For all expired .ro domains, we charge a domain renewal fee during the grace period of 5 euros + VAT.

Registration Rules for .ES Domains

The renewal of .es domains must be done at least 6 days before their expiration date, otherwise, a restoration fee of 69 euros + VAT will be required.

Registration Rules for .HU Domains

The renewal of .hu domains must be done at least 30 days before their expiration date, otherwise, a restoration fee of 79 Euros + VAT will be required.

Premium Domain Registration Rules

For premium domains with extensions such as .store, .web, luxury, etc., the price will be communicated after the registration process. In case of overvalued prices, the payment will be refunded after checking their availability.

Account Suspension for Non-payment of Services

User accounts that have not paid the fees for the service within 10 days of the provider issuing the proforma invoice will be suspended until payment confirmation, according to the above provisions. The provider will be able to reopen accounts closed for non-payment of fees only after full payment of all sums owed by the user.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

At NAMEBOX, we aim to provide superior web hosting services. Therefore, our customers benefit from a 30-day guarantee. If, during this period, you are not completely satisfied with the quality of the web hosting service, you can request a refund of the amount paid in advance.

It must be mentioned that the 30-day guarantee does not apply to the following services: fees for domain name registration (national and/or international), fees paid for dedicated servers or VPS servers, services ordered as a reseller, and any other fees paid for optional (cPanel licenses, Softaculous licenses, etc.) or special services, other than those in the standard offer.

In case the account cancellation is due to the client’s violation of these terms and conditions or abuses, such as excessive resource consumption, the refund of the amount paid will not be made. Also, the 30-day payment refund guarantee from the date of order placement does not apply and will not be made if at least 50% of the data transfer allocated to the web hosting account, which is the subject of the refund request, has been used.

Affiliate Program

Through our affiliate program, you can earn up to 25% of the value of each ordered shared web hosting package. For VPS servers and dedicated servers, the commission is 15%. It is important to note that the domain registration service is not included in the affiliate program. The commission is recurring and applies for the entire period in which the service is extended.

How Does It Work?

Each affiliate will receive a unique referral link in the format http://www.my.namebox.ro/aff.php?aff=001. When a visitor from your website accesses our site through this unique referral link, our system automatically records the services ordered by the client. After the payment for services is made, you will be able to see in your affiliate account the commission of up to 15%-25% of the value of the ordered services.

Payment of commissions will be made after a period of 30 days, if the minimum amount reaches 200 RON. In the case of online payments, the payment term of commissions may be extended up to 60 days, in order to prevent fraud and ensure a secure process.

Payment Conditions: regarding the payment of commissions, we inform you that they can only be made to legal entities, based on a service invoice. This is due to our internal requirements and tax obligations. Therefore, to receive your commissions, please provide a service invoice issued in the name of the legal entity you are associated with. Ensure that the invoice contains the necessary information to make the payment correctly and in accordance with legal regulations.

Attention! It is not allowed to withdraw commissions registered from the same client account, but for different companies. The commission registered from a different client account of the same owner will be automatically cancelled at the time of withdrawal.


We reserve the right to make additions, cancellations, or modifications to the Terms and Conditions, hosting packages, prices on the website at any time, with notification being made through the website or client control panels.
